Founded in 1999 by visionary leaders who laid a foundation for success, The Villages Charter School (VCS) continues to maintain its long-standing legacy of being one of the highest performing charter schools in the state.
VCS is proud to offer a world-class, comprehensive K-12 curriculum and state-of-the-art facilities taught by an instructional staff that is second to none. In fact, VCS has been named a “High Performing Charter School,” recognized as a “School of Excellence,” and has received 21 straight “A” ratings from the Florida Department of Education. Most recently, TVCS earned the “Schools and Systems of Distinction” award from the international accreditation group, Cognia, recognizing our school’s exemplary excellence in high-quality instruction, consistent organizational effectiveness, and energetic and sustained commitment to learners.
You’ll find that our school embodies a great sense of belonging and school pride, with a community that rallies around students for a remarkable educational experience. Together with our parents, business and community partners, we strive to maintain a positive educational environment for our students to grow and flourish.
Independently operated and publicly funded, charter schools operate under a charter or contract with a local education agency and offer a variety in educational innovation, autonomy, and choice.
The Villages Charter School has a relatively short history, but since 1999 has been a leader in educating students.
We create an atmosphere of support where people feel welcome, comfortable, and challenged to learn and grow.
We are committed to excellence in all we do. Our high expectations and data driven decisions are reflected in our work ethic, personal pride at school, and in our community. We strive to exceed everyone’s expectations with both effort and results.
We do what is in the best interest of the student, family, school, and community. We treat all resources as ours to nourish and protect.
We encourage and embrace innovation, risk taking, and “out-of-the-box” thinking for the purpose of finding a better way.
Success begins here.
