  Welcome to the 2018-2019 school year. It's going to be a great year in 2nd grade! We will have a full week of academic learning this week. We will have a spelling test on Friday and complete a practice cold read.

This week in class we will be learning:

Language Arts: Story of the week: Help: A Story of Friendship

Comprehension skills: visualizing, key details

Grammar: statement and questions, plural nouns with -s, -es

Writing: capitalization, punctuation, with statements and questions

 

Math: Chapter 3 lessons 1-5, basic facts

 

Science or social studies: (we rotate between these two subject areas) First up: Citizenship and Communities
