Dear Families,

This week we will be applying our essay skills to write about why summer is such a great time of year.  Ask your student what they've been writing about in their essay!  We will begin to check out AR books this week.  We'll continue to practice our place value and number sense skills this week, focusing on rounding, number forms, and addition/subtraction of whole numbers to millions.  For homework, students will have a math assignment, a word applications list to study, and an AR book to read.  Please let me know how I can help further.
