The Villages High School (VHS) Buffalo Music Boosters’ mission is to support and encourage the musical talents of VHS students. We bring students and the community together, bridging the bonds between music lovers and professional musicians who live in The Villages, and our young students who aspire to achieve great heights in the performing arts.
We believe that all students deserve the opportunity to explore and express their creative interests. Our strong community of Music Boosters rally around students to foster the growth of music education, lending support and encouragement while promoting artistic and academic excellence.
The VHS Buffalo Music Boosters meet on the second Wednesday of each month at The Tracy Performing Arts Center at 1:00pm.
We invite you to attend a monthly meeting on the second Wednesday of each month at 1:00pm in the The Tracy Performing Arts Center and learn more about how you can support our students.
Our meetings feature student spotlight performances by choir or band student musicians in an open forum of artistic collaboration with resident professionals. These spotlight performances lend students the opportunity to perform on stage as they fine-tune their college auditions, apply for scholarships, and gain valuable feedback from our booster community.
Meetings provide the opportunity to get to know student musicians as they share their goals and aspirations and showcase their talents. Whether you are simply interested in attending or becoming active with our group, we welcome you to join us!
For more information on how to support the Buffalo Music Boosters or attend one of our fundraising events, contact VHS Buffalo Music Booster President, Laura Lynch.
Our scholarship and education fund supports student endeavors throughout the year and helps VHS graduates who intend to further their post-secondary music education. Well-deserving student musicians are awarded scholarships by the VHS Buffalo Music Boosters through the Buffalo Scholarship Foundation. Candidates participate in spotlight performances held for our scholarship committee, members, and guests.
In memoriam of our founding advisor and friend of the VHS Music Boosters, we honor the legacy of Mr. Oscar Feliu. His philosophy, passion for excellence, and dedication to youth music education serve as the foundation to provide the tools, support, and encouragement for music students at The Villages Charter School.
The Oscar Feliu Outstanding Musicianship Award recognizes one student each year who stands out with passion, ingenuity, leadership and dedication.
Students may contact their guidance counselor to learn more and apply to our scholarship opportunities.
